WHO WE ARE
Bethlehem Eye Care is an independent Optometrists in the Bethlehem Town Centre, Tauranga.
Our experienced, friendly team of professionals provide comprehensive eye examinations, spectacles and contact lens fitting.
The practice was opened in 2002 as part of the nearby Bethlehem Medical Centre, ensuring a close relationship with local GP's. In 2008 we moved into the Bethlehem Town Centre and have grown to become an established practice with a strong focus on customer care. We are a family owned business with a desire to provide high quality, professional care.

Stuart Willats
Bachelor of Optometry, 1995, Akld. Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics, 2018, Australian College of Optometry.
"I grew up and studied in Auckland where I completed my Optometry Degree in 1995. After University I moved to Palmerston North for several years where I was involved in musical theatre while honing my Optometry skills. After 3 years working in England and travelling throughout Europe I returned to New Zealand and began working in Tauranga. Wanting a new challenge and the freedom to work my own way, I opened Bethlehem Eye Care in 2002. Since then I've discovered the satisfaction of building a successful, well regarded practice caring for the Bethlehem community - something I'm keen to continue with for many years to come."
Jess Terry
Dispensing Optician
Jess began work at Bethlehem Eye Care in 2016 and developed an interest in optics, leading to her qualification as a fully fledged Dispensing Optician. She enjoys helping people see the world through their new glasses and provides the team with a fresh perspective. When not at work Jess is kept busy spending time with her partner and 2 dogs or costume making.
Shona East
Office Manager
Shona spent many years working in dentistry arranging day to day running of practices and as a dental assistant before taking up her role as Office Manager with Bethlehem Eye Care in 2018. She is a keen scrapbooker and uses her artistic skills to plan window displays as well as liaising with patients and suppliers.
